30th November:

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh is to hold a dinner at Buckingham Palace, to launch the 75th Anniversary Appeal of the the Outward Bound Trust as their patron.

Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex will attend a Christmas Dinner at St Paul’s Cathedral, London, for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

Princess Anne, Princess Royal will spend her day in Birmingham. As patron of Sense (The National Deafblind and Rubella Association), she will attend a reception for ‘TouchBase Birmingham’ at Opus Restaurant, Birmingham, before she pays the Annual Network Conference a visit, in her role as president of the Carers Trust, at the city’s NEC.

Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester is to attend a Lecture at The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace, as patron of the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies. She will also attend an Advent Service at Lambeth Palace as president of Children’s Society.

– At Mons Barracks, Aldershot, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, will pay 1st Battalion Scots Guards a visit, as their colonel.

Princess Alexandra is to visit the offices of Alzheimer’s Society.


1st December:

The Duke of Edinburgh will lunch at Lord’s Cricket Ground for the Annual Luncheon, as patron of the Club Cricket Conference.

Prince Harry’s tour of South Africa begins: he will meet Archbishop Desmond Tutu in Cape Town before visiting youth projects. In Durban he will meet members of Surfers not Street Children and visit The Sharks rugby team.

The Duchess of Gloucester will remain in Belgium, as Honorary President of the Lawn Tennis Association, for the Davis Cup tennis Final.

Princess Alexandra’s evening is to be spent with the British Red Cross Society, as their deputy president. She will attend the Christmas Market Preview Night at the Guildhall, London.


2nd December:

– A reception and screening of ‘The Great Reef’ at Australia House, London, will be attended by The Duke of Edinburgh, after which, Philip is to attend receptions at St. James’s Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard his eponymous award.

– In South Africa’s Kruger Park, Prince Harry will learn about anti-poaching measures and the protection of endangered wildlife.

Prince Edward will visit Channing School, London, as trustee of his father’s DoE award. Later, he and The Countess of Wessex, who is a Global Ambassador for the award, will attend the Foundation’s World Fellowship Gala Dinner at Mansion House, London.

Princess Anne will attend the Royal Caledonian Charities Trust Annual Lunch and cheque presentation at Archers’ Hall in Edinburgh. It is then to Durham for The Princess Royal, where she will visit Darlington Youth Offending Service in the city, as patron of The Butler Trust.

Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, will present The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade to A-Safe (UK) Ltd in Halifax. The Duke will also pay Bradford College a visit, before heading to Mirfield in West Yorkshire, to give Camira Fabrics Ltd The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development.

– In her capacity as honorary president of the Lawn Tennis Association, The Duchess of Gloucester will show her support for the Tennis Foundation and attend the Wheelchair Masters at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London. Also, as patron of Prostate Cancer UK, Birgitte will be at a Carol Service at St.Paul’s Church, London.

The Duke of Kent is to attend The Worshipful Company of Clothworkers’ Court and Livery Dinner at Clothworkers’ Hall, Dunster Court, London, as an Honorary Liveryman.


3rd December:

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will be at St. Columba’s Church, London, to celebrate the Sixtieth anniversary of the current Church building.

Prince Philip’s evening will be spent with The Rifles, as their Colonel-in-Chief, for the Regimental Awards Dinner at Guildhall, London. He will be joined by The Earl and Countess of Wessex, as Royal Colonel of 2nd Battallion the Rifles, and Royal Colonel of 5th Battalion the Rifles respectively, as well as The Duchess of Gloucester, Royal Colonel of 7th Battalion The Rifles.

Prince Harry’s last day in South Africa will see him meet Nelson Mandela’s widow, and learn about the The Nelson Mandela Foundation.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex are also to attend the Not Forgotten Association Christmas Party at St James’s Palace.

Princess Anne, patron of the Northern Lighthouse Board, will visit Oban Base in Argyllshire.

– A Christmas carol concert with readings is to have a Royal visitor – Prince Richard – as joint president of Cancer Research UK. The service will be at Glasgow Cathedral.


4th December:

The Duke of Edinburgh is to host a dinner for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at Frogmore House, Windsor.

The Duke of Kent will pay Westminster Abbey a visit, for the The Anthony Trollope Bicentenary Service.
