Royal diary: upcoming royal engagements 15-21st July

A rather quiet week for the Royal Family, with Princess Anne as busy as ever, and Prince Charles and Camilla heading south-west to Cornwall and Devon for the week.

15th July:

– The Duke and The Duchess of Cornwall will visit Mevagissey, St Austell, to learn about the town’s resurgence following recent flooding and meet with local community groups and businesses. Prince Charles will also attend a celebration to mark the 60th anniversary of Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) at Boscastle National Trust Visitor Centre.

– The Princess Royal will visit Northern Bloc Ice Cream in Leeds; open JR Group UK’s new building in Bradford; and open Just Desserts Yorkshire Limited’s new building, in Shipley, West Yorkshire.

16th July:

– The Queen will receive a representative party from The Royal Gurkha Rifles who will present The Queen’s Truncheon for Her Majesty’s inspection at Buckingham Palace.

– The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will attend a garden party to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ginsters bakery, Callington, Devon. Prince Charles and Camilla will also attend a reception to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of His Royal Highness’ Chairmanship of the Duchy of Cornwall Prince’s Council at the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery at Lostwithiel, Cornwall, and later visit Tavistock to celebrate the town’s recent restoration to its historic buildings and attend the town’s Community Festival of Food and Crafts.

– The Princess Royal will attend the quarterly meeting of the Corporation of Trinity House and a luncheon, at the Corporation’s headquarters in London, and present Awards at the Annual Meeting at the Royal Geographical Society, as an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation. She will also attend the Worshipful Company of Innholders Court Dinner, Innholders’ Hall, London.

– The Duke of Kent, Chancellor, will preside at the University of Surrey Undergraduate Degree Ceremonies, Guildford Cathedral.

17th July:

– The Prince of Wales will visit the headquarters of Gregory Distribution Ltd to celebrate the company’s centenary, Cullompton, Devon. Joined by Camilla, Charles will attend a celebration of the 70th anniversary of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act at a Big Picnic in Exmoor National Park, Minehead.

– The Princess Royal will visit Newhaven Station, Old Coastguard Lookout, as Royal Patron of the National Coastwatch Institution, and later open the new MRI Unit at Conquest Hospital in East Sussex. As Royal Bencher of The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, Anne will attend Choral Evensong at Temple Church followed by the Amity Dinner at Inner Temple, London.

– The Duke of Kent, Royal Patron of the British-German Association, will attend a medal ceremony, St. James’s Palace.

18th July:

– The Princess Royal will visit the War Memorial Village to mark its 70th Anniversary, Shelton Lock, Derby. She willl also visit St. Martin’s Church and Community Centre; visit Women’s Work to mark its 50th Anniversary; and visit Derbyshire Constabulary and Derbyshire Fire Service Joint Headquarters in Ripley.

– The Duke of Kent, who is Honorary Air Chief Marshal of the Royal Air Force, will take the salute at the Passing out Parade, RAF Cranwell, Lincolnshire.

19th July:

– The Prince of Wales, patron of The Campaign for Wool, will visit Woolcool to learn about how the business uses sheep’s wool to create alternative sustainable packaging for food and medicine, Stone, Staffordshire.

– The Princess Royal will visit Zetland Lifeboat Museum, Redcar, North Yorkshire, as well as the Cleveland Way to mark its 50th Anniversary.

– Princess Alexandra will visit the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust, Telford, Shropshire, and present the Telford and Wrekin Community Pride Awards at Maws Craft Centre.

I love this site. Have been interested in the Royal family and aristocracy (especially in the 1920s and 30s). I love the crown as an icon saver on desktop. Shall be following from now on.
