The official photos from Prince Harry and Meghan’s #royalwedding

Kensington Palace have released the official wedding photos from Prince Harry and Meghan’s big day on Saturday.

Three images have been released of the couple, one with their families, another with the bridal party and a third of them alone together. Posing for the photos came after the couple’s carriage procession following the ceremony.

This photo, taken by the couple’s engagement photographer, Alexi Lubomirski, was taken in the Green Drawing Room of Windsor Castle, with the 10 pageboys and bridesmaids of the day, which included Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Quite an informal image, it appears The Duchess of Sussex is sitting on the floor!

Photographer Alexi Lubomirski revealed he asked the children: “Who likes Smarties?!” to get them to smile for the images; they had been getting them as treats throughout the day.

The second photo shows the couple with their family. The Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Camilla are there, as well as Prince William as best man, and The Duchess of Cambridge; plus Meghan’s mother, Doria and the bridesmaids and pageboys again.

Meghan’s veil and dress take centre stage.

Finally, a black and white image of the bride and groom shows an ecstatic newly-wedded couple. This is informal once more, sitting on the steps at Windsor Castle. Meghan looks away from the camera, while Harry into it. The Duchess has removed her veil, but carries her bouquet.

A comment from the couple says: “The Duke and Duchess would like to thank everyone who took part in the celebrations of their Wedding.

“They feel so lucky to have been able to share their day with all those gathered in Windsor and those who watched on television across the UK, Commonwealth, and around the world.”

What do you think of these photos? We think they capture the couple and the happiness of the day very well!
