Princess Eléonore of Belgium plays violin for King Phillipe’s birthday

Princess Eléonore of Belgium treated her father, the King, to a violin performance, to celebrate Phillipe’s birthday today.

The youngest child of Phillipe and Mathilde has been playing the string instrument for a number of years, and surprised The King for his 57th birthday. She played and ‘Happy Birthday’ for her father, in front of the camera to record the event at the palace.

Eléonore, who herself is turning 9 tomorrow, was greeted with a hug from the King after her performance. Phillipe embraced his daughter, saying ‘bravo’.

Crown Princess Elisabeth, heir to the Belgian throne, 15, also plays the piano.
