SkillForce, the Duke’s patronage, and SportsAid and Place2Be, the Duchess’ charities, were benefitting from the company’s fundraising day, an annual event in which the entire day’s profits are donated to charity.

The Royal couple helped close deals to raise the money, which will help more than 200 charities worldwide, of which 13 are UK charities, including their three.

SkillForce assists young people in their education, to raise their aspirations, while Place2Be helps battle mental health issues in children through school counselling. SportsAid supports the next generation of first class athletes.

A journalist noted that William was ‘brutal’ on the phone, while his wife, Kate, was more ‘polite and chatty’. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge managed to close a deal of €500 million, beuing guided by company brokers.

Kate was shocked to learn that she and William had been part of a two trillion Euro deal. “Please don’t add any extra risk!” she begged.

William was to the point on the phone: “Feeling charitable today? Good, just what I want to hear!” Eavesdropping on his wife’s conversation with a trader on the end of the phone named Andrew he laughed: “Catherine, I think you can stop flirting with them now!”

ICAP is a leading markets operator and provider of post trade risk mitigation and information services. Celebrities and well-known figures often get involved, which is what Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and sisters Beatrice and Eugenie did back in September, on different sides of the Atlantic.

The Duchess had noticeably had a hair cut, sporting a shoulder length ‘do. She also wore a green LK Bennett dress and jacket, the ‘Davina’ style, an outfit she has worn in the past. Regular traders were also sporting unusual outfits, including hotpants and stilettos, and comic-style suits.

The parents of Prince George and Princess Charlotte were given a bit of a tour before they began their trading, and the Duchess even had a quick go on the basketball hoop. She got the ball through the hoop, and the entire office erupted into cheers.

Never known to turn down a chance at beating one another, the pair then played table tennis as part of a doubles match with the SportsAid group.
