Camilla's Jewellery: Antique Enamel and Diamond Brooch • The Crown Chronicles

Queen Camilla has a wide range of items in her jewellery collection and her first new piece of jewellery of 2024 was in the form of a small enamel and diamond brooch. Her Majesty first wore the brooch in January 2024 for the official opening of Maggie's Royal Free , of which she is President. [getty src="1975044914" width="594" height="396" tld="co.uk”]

Keen-eyed jewellery fans spotted that the brooch was originally sold by Wartski and comprises of a square of old cut diamonds interwoven with two ribbon-like electric green enamelled gold strands. (Wartski)[/caption] According to Wartski , 'the interweaving of two unbroken strands is symbolic of two lives which have been joined together by love'. Wartski noted that the brooch 'is a bravura piece of goldsmithing, as the the entire surface of the narrow ribbons has been enamelled'. When it was up for sale, the brooch retailed on the Wartski site for £8,000. Given the sentimental meaning behind the brooch, it can be assumed that the brooch was gifted to Queen Camilla by The King; the couple have now been married for 19 years. At the time, the Daily Mail's Rebecca English confirmed that the brooch was indeed a gift from King Charles to his wife. The Queen has continued to wear her Antique Enamel and Diamond Brooch a number of times in 2024, becoming a favourite piece of jewellery in Her Majesty's collection.
