Queen Camilla has a number of lovely pieces in her jewellery collection, yet some have an unknown origin to royal watchers. One of these pieces in question is the blue moonstone brooch.

The brooch features a central milky blue gemstone, which is presumed to be a moonstone, held in a three-part diamond scroll pattern with two bands of baguette diamonds.
What makes this brooch particularly intriguing is its unknown provenance – many pieces in the royal vaults come with generations of history and documented lineage. Not this one. We do know that King Charles buys jewellery as gifts for both his wife and wider family members – often to mark special milestones – so this could be one of his purchases.
Moonstone is associated with balance and sometimes love.
The brooch made its first public appearance in July 2022, when Camilla – then Duchess of Cornwall – wore it to present the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Royal Ascot.
In November 2022, for the South African State Visit, Camilla wore the brooch on her first state visit as Queen for the Ceremonial Welcome at Horse Guards.
Most recently, Queen Camilla chose this brooch for the 2025 Easter Sunday Service.
