As part of a State Visit, the exchange of gifts takes place. During the US State Visit from President Trump and Melania Trump, this was no different.
The American couple gifted Queen Camilla a vintage gold, diamond, and ruby flower brooch from Tiffany & Co.
Let’s take a closer look at the brooch…
The brooch takes on a botanical design, crafted in 18K yellow gold with a flower and leaf motif.
Unusually, we saw this piece immediately, with The Queen wearing it for the first day of engagements and meeting the First Couple.
In the centre of the brooch is a brilliant round-cut diamond, which is circled within a halo of natural red rubies, forming the centrepiece of a flower. The sculpted leaves demonstrate Tiffany’s known attention to detail, with ridges to provide an air of texture, radiating from the central ruby flower.
Measuring approximately 1.5 inches wide and weighing 8.5 grams, this brooch is beautifully balanced in size and substance.
The reverse is fully signed ‘Tiffany & Co.’.
