A final photo of The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh has been released by the Palace, on the day of Prince Philip’s 95th birthday.
One of the couple was only released a fortnight ago, showing the two in Her Majesty’s sitting room at Windsor Castle.
Wearing the same clothes, The Queen and Prince Philip are pictured in a close shot, from the shoulders up, standing side-by-side in front of a green background.
This is the last in a set of photos to celebrate The Queen’s 90th birthday, but were released in the early hours of 10th June, the Duke’s 95th birthday.
The Royal couple certainly look as happy as they did when they married almost 69 years ago, with their relationship as strong as ever.
Her Majesty has described her husband as her ‘strength and stay’ over the course of her reign, attending most engagements with her, and no doubt offering advice and support behind the scenes.
Philip has hundreds of his own patronages he supports, along with the workload of his wife.
We think this is a lovely way to mark the 95th birthday of Prince Philip, but also the official birthday of The Queen, with Trooping the Colour Saturday morning.
