The Duchess of Cambridge is now in hospital, awaiting the delivery of the royal baby.
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London earlier this morning in the early stages of labor,” a statement from Kensington Palace reads.
“The Duchess travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.”
The news was announced only minutes ago, but we have been expecting this for a few weeks. Reports have it Kate was admitted before 6am this morning.
The new royal baby will be the fifth in line of succession after Princess Charlotte, bumping Prince Harry down to sixth.
The Duchess’ stylist, Natasha Jackson (nee Archer) has been spotted leaving the hospital; she was there to take Catherine her departure outfit, which might mean the new arrival is already here…
Natasha Archer, Kate’s stylist, has already visited the Lindo Wing, likely to drop off the Duchess’ outfit. Does this mean #royalbaby is already here? https://t.co/UODQcvsV0B
