To mark The Duchess of Cornwall’s 75th birthday today, we’ve chosen our favourite 20 photos of Camilla.
1. Camilla was joined by one of her dogs, Beth, during a visit to Battersea’s Old Windsor branch. Beth helped The Duchess to unveil a plaque to mark the opening of the building. It is well-known HRH has a great relationship with her two dogs, who were rescued from Battersea.
2. Even a global pandemic couldn’t stop The Duchess of Cornwall from carrying out engagements.
3. The Duchess of Cornwall was recently made a Royal Lady of the Order of the Garter at this year’s Order of the Garter ceremony at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
4. One of the funniest images that went to front pages around the world came in 2015, during a visit to New Zealand. The Duchess was given a knife to cut a cake, and reminded her (surprised) husband to behave himself…

5. This photograph of Charles and Camilla marking their 15th wedding anniversary had to make our top 20. The couple marked the occasion at their Scottish home, Birkhall.
6. In 2021, a new photograph was released to mark the launch of The Duchess of Cornwall’s Reading Room. The future Queen Consort can seen with a stack of books wearing a red coat dress; it was snapped by Hugo Bernand.
Her Royal Highness wanted the Reading Room to be a ‘celebration of literature in all its forms’ and to be ‘a hub for literary communities around the world’.
7. This photograph coincided with The Duke of Edinburgh’s last official royal engagement, when he formally passed on his role as Colonel-in-Chief of The Rifles to his daughter-in-law.
8. Prince Charles fired the gun on HMCS Haida, during a visit to Canada in 2009 – this was Camilla’s response!
9. Remember when The Queen cut a cake with a sword? We certainly do. This photo from a Big Lunch Event at the Eden Project does bring a smile to our faces. It’s wonderful to see Camilla alongside her daughter-in-law and mother-in-law.
10. Happy Days! We had to include Camilla on her wedding day to Charles in 2005. Take a look at their romantic journey, spanning decades, here.
11. License to thrill! Camilla dazzled as she stepped out on the red carpet for the premiere of 007’s ‘No Time to Die’, alongside Charles, William and Catherine.
12. As a fan of Strictly Come Dancing, the Duchess took a turn with Craig Revel Horwood in 2009 on a visit to a dance school.
13. This photograph of The Duchess was released to officially mark HRH’s appointment as Colonel in Chief of The Rifles. The Duchess is seen wearing a brooch commissioned by The Rifles. The silver Bugle Horn is central to the heritage of the Regiment and every Rifleman wears a silver bugle as their cap badge.
14. To mark Camilla’s 75th birthday, she became a guest-editor of Country Life. The front cover photograph was taken by The Duchess of Cambridge.
15. Royal fans were delighted when Camilla stepped out with Charles and Catherine for a joint engagement this year. We certainly hope to see Camilla on joint visits with other members of the Royal Family in the future. Maybe one with The Countess of Wessex? Or maybe The Princess Royal?
16. Camilla’s attitude to get stuck in definitely doesn’t go a miss with royal fans! Here HRH is helping out at the Royal Voluntary Service lunch club at Rickmansworth and helped to service lunch to the users.
17. A tale of two Duchesses! The Duchess of Cornwall joined The Duchess of Cambridge in the carriage during Trooping the Colour this year. It certainly seems like two have a close relationship. In fact, Kate took photos of Camilla for the Country Life birthday edition.
18. Visiting her namesake helicopter in Cornwall, Camilla had to try it out, but was surprised at the lack of room inside…
19. It’s quite clear that Camilla is a doting grandmother, and we got to see a snippet of this in a photo to mark Prince Charles’ 70th birthday.
20. The Duchess of Cornwall recently sat down with British Vogue for an interview about her royal and personal life. As such, new photographs were commissioned. Whilst we’re only half way through the year, this has certainly been one of our favourite royal photos of 2022!
