On Friday, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall carried out their last day of engagements in Germany. They spent their day in Munich, visiting an organic farm, and a shelter for victims of domestic abuse.
Starting the day, The Duchess of Cornwall visited the IMMA shelter for young women in Munich. The organisation supports vulnerable girls and young women, providing counselling for victims of sexual abuse, domestic violence and trauma. The association also operates a women’s shelter and provides live-in accommodation groups giving ongoing support.

Upon her arrival, Camilla was greeted by the joint CEOs of IMMA, Gundula Brunner and Sabine Wieninger. The Duchess was shown the facilities and was introduced to a small group of girls and young women in the café who were preparing canapés for a reception.
The Duchess of Cornwall also met some of the young women being supported by IMMA, and their counsellors, to hear about their experiences and how the organisation is helping them, making sure to meet each woman individually.
Prince Charles then joined his wife for a trip to an organic farm: Herrmannsdorfer Landwerkstätten near Munich. Founded by Karl Ludwig Schweisfurth in 1986, the farm operates workshops where craftspeople teach visiting groups how to make traditional foods, such as Weisswurst sausages and pretzels.
There, the Prince met Alen Bacic, a beekeeper who keeps bees in a hive at the organic farm in the village Gloon, and inspected their hives. Charles has his own hives and is keenly interested in ecology, to which bees are absolutely key.

Prince Charles then viewed the cohabitation space for chickens, cows and sheep and heard about the farm’s research into cohabitation and symbiotic organic farming practice. He also chatted about sustainable farming practice – something Charles is keen on for the Duchy of Cornwall – the brewery and the bakery, while visiting the pig enclosure and the farm’s biogas facility.

The Prince of Wales learned more about the farm, which was created with the principle of prioritising craftspeople over machines in an increasingly modernised industry. Today the farm is 100% organic and sells its produce locally and in the centre of Munich.
During the visit, The Duchess of Cornwall helped bake pretzels with children from the farm’s kindergarten and after that, tasted regional products, like cheese, bread and the local beer.

Later, with Prince Charles at the farmers market, they also viewed and learned about local produce.
At the end of the visit, the royal couple was gifted with steins decorated with their faces by Christina Mendi, a member of the local community. Charles was additionally given a present for Baby Sussex, Archie.

The couple then travelled back to the UK.
