The Prince of Wales returned to the polo field to raise money for charity. Sporting a blue jersey with the number four, the father of three participated in the Out-Sourcing Inc. Royal Charity Polo Cup 2025 at the Guards Polo Club.

William’s participation came just a couple of days after he and Catherine were seen attending engagements for the French State Visit, including a ceremonial welcome and State Banquet at Windsor Castle.
The event was to raise money and highlight the incredible work carried out by a handful of charities chosen by The Prince and Princess of Wales.

The 10 charities supported this year were: Child Bereavement UK, Royal African Society, Fields in Trust, We Are Farming Minds, Anna Freud Centre, Family Action, Forward Trust, East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, NHS Charities Together and British Red Cross.
This year’s match was set to raise the total amount of money made to more than £14,000,000.

The Princess of Wales was not in attendance at this year’s match, compared to previous years, where she has been seen supporting her husband. It comes as she continues to slowly return to royal duties having entered remission from cancer last September after her diagnosis earlier in 2024.
Whilst Catherine missed the event, William was supported by his cousin Peter Phillips, who was accompanied to the event with his girlfriend, Harriet Sperling.

In recent months, the Royal Charity Polo Cup cut has faced its own episode of scandal after it had to cut ties with a donor who had reportedly attempted to sell private access to The Prince and Princess of Wales.
Millionaire Minerva Mondejar Steiner, whose Mondejar Gallery had been a sponsor of the Polo Cup, reportedly attempted to offer private meetings with the Prince and Princess of Wales in exchange for donations.
