Kensington Palace has shared a new photo with us to mark National Volunteering Week. The image shows The Duke of Cambridge taking his two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte to deliver food parcels.
The snap was taken by Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge, in April, and you might think it looks familiar. That’s because it was taken at the same time as the photos released for Princess Charlotte’s birthday images.
National Volunteering Week celebrates all those that give up their time to help others, be that lending neighbours a hand or working for a registered charity.
Prince William stands on the right, holding a large umbrella and wearing a brown (probably Barbour) jacket. Prince George has his hands in his pockets, wearing jeans and a jumper, while Princess Charlotte holds a carrier bag wearing a gingham dress.
The photo shows them from behind, approaching a bungalow in the Sandringham area, near their Norfolk home of Anmer Hall.
This is Princess Charlotte knocking a door, one of the photos for her 5th birthday, and you can just make out the reflection of her mother in the glass, and what looks like dad William further back.
We have also learnt that The Duke of Cambridge is now a volunteer on the Shout text platform, to help those in need of mental health support. This was something William said he was keen to do back in September, so it is great to see him live up to his word and give his time to help others, whilst publicly fighting the stigma of mental illness.
