Princess Beatrice and husband Edo are expecting their second child together, Buckingham Palace has announced.
A statement shared on the Royal Family’s official social media sites reads: ‘Her Royal Highess Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together early in the new year; a sibling for Wolfie and Sienna.’
‘His Majesty The King has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.’
Beatrice and Edo welcomed a daughter, Sienna, in September 2021. She was born at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London and weighed 6 pounds and 2 ounces.
This baby will be tenth in line to the throne, behind sister Sienna, followed by their aunt, Princess Eugenie and her two sons, August and Ernest.
Edo already has a son, nicknamed Wolfie, who was born in 2016; the Princess has previously shared that she regularly reads to her step-son.
Beatrice and Edo tied the knot in a ceremony in Windsor in July 2020, with just their closest family in attendance – including the late Queen and Prince Philip.
The ceremony took place in the Royal Chapel of All Saints, near to her father’s home of Royal Lodge, after the pandemic cancelled the couple’s plans for nuptials at the Chapel Royal, St James’s.
