The Queen has revealed that Princess Charlotte is bossy to her older brother, Prince George.
In an event at Sandringham last Sunday, Her Majesty presented a Bible to Emily Clay for proficiency in Religious Instruction and briefly spoke about her great-grandchildren and their personalities.
The Queen asked Emily if she “looked after” her little sister, Hadleigh, but was informed by their mother that, actually, the younger sister seems to be in charge!
Mrs Clay said: “She asked if Emily looked after Hadleigh and I said it was more the other way round. She said it was like that with Princess Charlotte and Prince George.”
Every year, the Monarch presents a bible to the pupil from one of the local primary schools, who does best in a religious studies project. Emily, who is from nearby Dersingham, had created a folder about the biblical story of Daniel and the Lions. Interestingly, her father, Tom Clay, also won it in 1990.
Insurance worker, Mr Clay added: “The Queen was implying that Charlotte keeps an eye out for George rather than the other way around.”
Last year, their mother, The Duchess of Cambridge, also said that Princess Charlotte was ‘the one in charge’, at a memorial unveiling for those who had lost their lives in the Afghan and Iraq conflict.
Earlier this month, we saw pictures of the young Princess before she headed to her first day of nursery, with some commenting that the two-year-old looked confident and unfazed by the potentially-daunting experience.
