A new documentary to be released next month looks at King Charles’ lifelong passion for connecting with and taking care of nature.
‘Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision’ will be released on Prime Video on 6 February – the anniversary of his mother’s accession in 1952 – and highlight the work of The King’s Foundation.
Narrated by Kate Winslet, the documentary will demonstrate The King’s ‘passion for nature and the environment’, as Charles himself takes viewers through his own story, connection with nature and charitable works over the years.

This includes his ideas from decades ago that are now more popular and accepted, to help us avert a climate catastrophe.
In the trailer, Charles says: ‘We are nature ourselves. We are a part of nature, not apart from nature.’
Filming began early in 2025, and we see The King watching footage of his own speeches and his years of work in conservation at Dumfries House. Footage was also shotat Highgrove House – where he has invested heavily in the gardens as a peaceful oasis.
As Prince of Wales, Charles faced opposition to his views: ‘when he pioneered organic farming, people dismissed his plans. And he spoke up for the science behind biodiversity loss, deforestation and climate change long before these issues became mainstream’.

Charles himself has admitted as much. At the World Economic Forum in 2020, he gave a speech saying: ‘I have dedicated much of my life to the restoration of harmony between humanity, nature and the environment. Quite frankly, it has been an uphill struggle.’
The actress became an ambassador for The King’s Foundation in June 2025, which focuses its efforts on sustainable practices, especially in building and planning, and traditional skills. It was founded in 1990, and projects over the decades have included community regeneration and sustainable textiles.

It was through the King’s Foundation – then the Prince’s Foundation – that Dumfries House was saved for the nation in 2007.
It is not the first time the Monarch has sought to bring this topic to the fore: in 2010, the Prince of Wales wrote a book called Harmony: A New Way of Looking At Our World, sharing ‘his views on how mankind’s most pressing modern challenges are rooted in our disharmony with nature’.
Kristina Murrin, chief executive of The King’s Foundation, said today: ‘We are so excited for the world to get their first glimpse of Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision.

‘Viewers will have a front row seat to His Majesty’s commitment to protecting our environment and the challenges and triumphs of this personal journey.
‘His Majesty’s harmony philosophy is our guiding principle at The King’s Foundation, and it’s fantastic to have the opportunity to share this thinking with a wider audience.’
Director Nicolas Brown said that the show tells a story of ‘hope and resilience’.
‘Remarkably few people around the world know the full depth of The King’s lifelong battle to bring nature and humanity into harmony,’ Mr Brown said.
‘Even today, His Majesty’s work with The King’s Foundation is transforming the world in so many inspiring ways. This is a story of hope and resilience. People who watch this film will leave feeling uplifted and motivated.
‘The King’s philosophy offers something for everyone. Mostly, he shows us the power of resilience – and how following your intuition can transform the world.’
It is not the only royal documentary we can expect this year: there is a King’s Trust documentary in production with Idris Elba – who just received a knighthood in the New Year’s Honours list. He is an ambassador for the Trust, which works to get young people into training, education or work, and the show will assess this journey and impact of the trust.
