Prince George and Princess Charlotte attended their first Christmas church service today, as The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spend Christmas with the Middletons.
The family were photographed attending worship at St Mark’s Church on the Englefield Estate in Berkshire, as The Queen missed church due to continued illness.
Prince William held his sons hand as they arrived, while Kate held Princess Charlotte in her arms. The Cambridge children have never before attended a service, with the Duchess saying that “you would have heard him in the church” to crowds gathered at Sandringham in 2014.
The Middletons followed behind, flanked by a protection officer. Mike and Carole Middleton were accompanied by their daughter, Pippa and her fiance James Matthews. James Middleton was also spotted walking into the church.
Hymns in the service included the carols: Hark the Herald Angels Sing, O Little Town of Bethlehem, and O Come All Ye Faithful.
Prince George was spotted eating a candy cane upon leaving the church, once more holding William’s hand.
