Today’s Christmas service at Sandringham marks the first without Queen Elizabeth II, but the Royal Family were out in force to continue the tradition of the walk to church.
Crowds had gathered outside of St Mary Magdalene’s Church on the Sandringham Estate to greet the Royals, and were rewarded with Prince Louis’ first Christmas walk.
The King and Queen led the group to cheers from members of the public, with Camilla in blue.
They were followed by The Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children. Catherine chose green, while Princess Charlotte wore red.

The Duke of York was a surprise attendant following his step back from public life after accusations of sexual abuse were levelled at him in 2019, followed by a disastrous Newsnight interview late in the year. It was thought he might be driven to the church and avoid the public interaction.
However, Princess Anne was noticeably absent, while her daughter Zara and husband Mike did take part in the walk. Sir Tim made the walk with his daughter and sin-in-law.
Princess Eugenie, who chose a taupe ensemble, and Jack followed, with Princess Beatrice being accompanied by husband Edo, and her stepson, Christopher ‘Wolfie’ for the first time. Beatrice was in festive green.
Also in attendance was Peter Phillips and his two daughters, Isla and Savannah, as well as Lady Sarah Chatto and her sons.
After the service, the Royals greeted members of the public, chatting and receiving flowers.
