King Charles has met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at Windsor Castle, in a move that continues to demonstrate significant diplomatic support extended to Ukraine by the Royal Family and the United Kingdom.
Their last meeting occurred on 2nd March at Sandringham.

The meeting, held at the King’s Berkshire royal residence, took place ahead of Mr. Zelensky’s afternoon talks with British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer in London.
Charles and Zelensky were seen walking through the Grand Corridor of Windsor Castle, exchanging words and shaking hands. King Charles was dressed in a grey suit, while President Zelensky wore his signature black attire.

Following their initial greeting, His Majesty hosted Zelensky for a private lunch. Though the details of their conversation remain undisclosed, the Audience took place ahead of a critical NATO summit set to begin on Tuesday.
Speaking ahead of his meeting with the Prime Minister, Mr. Zelensky said he intended to discuss Ukraine’s defence strategies and new measures to increase pressure on Russia. His visit comes after a particularly brutal wave of attacks on Ukraine. Reports indicate that Russia launched 352 drones and 16 missiles overnight, resulting in the deaths of at least 10 civilians, including seven in Kyiv.

King Charles has been a steadfast supporter of Ukraine. After the Russian invasion began, the then-Prince of Wales condemned the ‘brutal aggression’ by Russia. He has also visited a number of Ukrainian refugee centres, including the Ukrainian Cathedral in London and meeting those helping refugees.
In 2023, King Charles also met Zelenskyy at Buckingham Palace, during his first visit to the UK.
In a message to mark the two years of conflict in the country in 2024, Charles said the ‘determination and strength of the Ukrainian people continues to inspire, as the unprovoked attack on their land, their lives and livelihoods enters a third, tragic, year’.
