For Prince Carl Philip’s birthday today, the Prince Couple of Sweden have released a message of thanks and five new photos of Prince Alexander to the public.

The family was photographed at Drottningholm Palace in Crown Prince Gustav’s (Gustav III) study and audience chamber, as well as outside in the grounds of the Palace.
Siri, the couple’s dog, also makes appearances in the images, depicting a very happy young family.

“We wish to thank you for all the congratulations we have received on the birth of our son, Prince Alexander,” the statement reads. “We greatly appreciate your warm wishes and kindness.”

Prince Carl Philip, meanwhile, holds the sleeping Prince over his shoulder, looking away from the camera.
Taken earlier this month, the other three are family compositions, with Princess Sofia dressed in cream, while Carl Philip is in a grey suit. The young Prince wears cream/white babygros and is swaddled in a matching blanket.
