Kensington Palace has released two new photographs of Prince Louis, ahead of his 5th birthday tomorrow.
The pictures were taken on the Windsor estate earlier this month, likely during the Easter holidays. The Wales family now live at Adelaide Cottage, near to the castle.
The Prince is seen to be sitting in a wheelbarrow of garden weeds, being pushed by his mother, Catherine. Louis is dressed in blue shorts and checked shirt, under a bright blue jumper.
Kate is turned away from the camera, but we catch her in profile, wearing a striped jumper.
Over the last few years, The Princess of Wales has taken the birthday photographs of her children. However, breaking with tradition, Millie Pilkington was tasked with the royal job of capturing the young royal.
Millie Pilkington is one of the UK’s most respected and accomplished portrait photographers, and has previously photographed Autumn Phillips and her two daughters, Savannah and Isla.
Earlier this week, The Princess of Wales released a new photograph of the late Queen with some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at Balmoral last summer. It was shared on what would have been her 97th birthday.
