Princess Beatrice and husband Edo are expecting their first child together, Buckingham Palace has announced.
A statement about the news reads: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year.
“The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”
Beatrice and Edo tied the knot in a ceremony in Windsor in July 2020, with just their closest family in attendance. The ceremony took place in the Royal Chapel of All Saints, however, near to her father’s home of Royal Lodge, after the pandemic cancelled the St James’s royal wedding.
Her sister, Princess Eugenie, had her first baby in February, so little August will have a cousin close in age.
Edo already has a son, nicknamed Wolfie, who is four.
