Zara and Mike Tindall have lost their baby, just a month after announcing the pregnancy to the world.
No further details have been released about the circumstances, only that there has been a miscarriage and the couple have lost the baby.
A spokeswoman for the couple said: “Very sadly, Zara and Mike Tindall have lost their baby. At this difficult time, we ask that everyone respects their privacy.”
It was announced in November that The Queen’s granddaughter, 35, was expecting the couple’s second child in late spring of 2017, and said they were ‘very, very happy’. This would have been a sibling for Mia, almost 3, and Her Majesty’s 6th great-grandchild.
Zara is thought to be medically well otherwise. The Queen will have been informed prior to informing the public.
This could affect the couple’s appearance on Christmas Day, as they usually attend church with The Queen.
