Princess Eugenie and husband Jack have welcomed their first child, a boy! A tweet from the @RoyalFamily account announced the news:
“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 0855hrs at The Portland Hospital. Jack Brooksbank was present. The baby weighs 8lbs 1oz.”
The boy came into the world at the Portland Hospital in London, where Eugenie herself was born in 1990, and weighed 8lbs 1oz. Jack was present for the birth.
The Princess, who turns 31 next month, shared this snap on her personal instagram page with blue hearts and exclamation marks.
A statement also said that The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, as well as the couple’s parents have been informed and ‘are delighted with the news’. This is the ninth great-grandchild for the Monarch.
Eugenie and Jack met whilst skiing, and married at St George’s Chapel in October 2018 following a Nicaraguan engagement. The couple announced their exciting news in September.
We expect a name to be announced in the next week or so.
More when we have it.
