A garden to mark the 20th anniversary of Diana, Princess of Wales’ death is currently being planned by Prince William and Harry with Historic Royal Palaces.
Diana, who died in a car accident in Paris in 1997, will have a fourth London memorial to her life and work. The brothers are planning to create the space at Kensington palace.
The other London memorials are the Diana Memorial Playground at Kensington Palace, the Diana Memorial Fountain in Hyde Park, and the Diana Memorial Walk at St James’s Palace.
The Princess of Wales adored flowers and it is thought the new garden will feature white roses, her favourite blooms, and lily of the valley, another of her favourites.
There will also be an exhibition inside the palace where the two princes grew up and where William and Kate now live with Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
A spokeswoman for Historic Royal Palaces said: “Our plans are still at the earliest stages of development, and we’re recruiting for staff to help us explore the possibilities.”
Diana’s sons are going to be “informed” about the garden project.
The garden is expected to be finished before 31 August 2017, the 20th anniversary of Diana’s death next year.

Did you know that the apple tree is actually a deciduous tree in the rose family? 😉
What a beautiful tribute for such a beautiful woman!
I admired Princess Dianna, as I do her children now!
They are their Mother! She is proud I am sure!
God Bless William and Harry!
A nice idea, but I feel its about time there was a statue at Kensington Palace,as the memorial ‘ditch’ in Hyde Park is an absolute disgrace ,and not fitting for a wonderful Princess.
Also as much as gardens are nice to see, they are very transient and are not permanent.
A statue to a great lady is certainly much needed.
