A new set of photos has been released by Kensington Palace to mark Prince George of Cambridge’s third birthday today. The set of four images features William and Kate’s son and their dog, Lupo.
The first of the set shows a loving relationship between George and his beloved pooch, now five. He seems to be offering Lupo a taste of ice-cream, as he kneels down on a plaid picnic blanket in the gardens of Anmer Hall, the Cambridges home on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
In all the photos, the Prince is seen in his trademark shorts.

Another photo shows George standing on a swing in the garden, a cheeky smile on his face; the traditional wood and rope swing is engraved with ‘WILLIAM & CATHERINE’ on the seat.
Matt Porteous of the Press Association was invited to take the photos in Norfolk earlier this month.
PRINCE GEORGE’S FIRST ENGAGEMENT AT THE ROYAL AIR TATTOO
He said of the experience: “I really enjoyed the opportunity to take these photographs of Prince George. It was a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I’m honoured that they have decided to share these images with the public to mark his third birthday.”
The Palace said: “The Duke and Duchess hope that people will enjoy seeing these new photographs. They would like to thank everyone for all the lovely messages they have received as Prince George celebrates his third birthday.”
The last of the set is the toddler – in a different outfit – strolling through the garden, his attention caught by something away from the camera.
It is clear that George has inherited aspects of both his mother and father, but we would wager he looks more like Prince William than he does The Duchess of Cambridge.
We really like this relaxed set of photos, which shows how the Prince is developing; we last saw him at the Royal Air Tattoo with his parents last week.
