The Royal Family attended the traditional Christmas Day service at St Mary Magdalene’s church in Sandringham today.
Those invited to Sandringham walked from the ‘Big House’ to the church just a short distance down the road, for the service conducted by .
Her Majesty looked festive in a red outfit with fur trim and a fur hat, using an umbrella to shield herself from the rain.
The Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Anne lead the group down the path. Prince Charles followed, accompanied by his wife Camilla, dressed in a grey geometric coat and butterfly brooch. They were joined by Anne’s husband, Sir Tim Lawrence.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry were next, with the group generally adhering to the order of precedence. Catherine chose seasonal forest green over a floral dress, accessorised with a leaf-design brooch and floral felt hat.
Prince Andrew and daughters Beatrice and Eugenie followed them, Eugenie opting for teal with a chiffon hat piece and two-tone stilettos, while older sister Beatrice chose a navy coat over a navy lace trimmed dress for the day
HOW THE ROYALS CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS
The Earl and Countess of Wessex came next, joined by their children, Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn.
Sophie was in a pale grey speckled coat with fur trim and an ornate hat. Louise, 12, wore a navy coat and black beret, and James, 8, looked smart in a navy blazer and striped tie. The Earl wore a camel coloured coat, the same as Prince Charles.
Lady Sarah Chatto and her family followed next, then her brother, Viscount Linley and his family.
Beginning with the National Anthem, hymns such as Angels From The Realm Of Glory featured. Prince Harry braved the drizzle to greet some of the 1,000 well-wishers who had gathered.
The Royals chatted to the clergy before entering the church for the service. The group then headed back to Sandringham House for a lunch, before the family gathers round to watch The Queen’s speech at 3pm.
Earlier, the family attend an early morning service, with The Queen spotted arriving in a large fur coat over a cream boucle skirt suit. She was joined by Sophie, Countess of Wessex arriving at the early service.
Prince Charles, Camilla, Prince Edward and Prince Andrew walked up to the church together, as did Harry, Beatrice and Eugenie. The service is the first of two on Christmas Day, requiring two separate outfits.
