Still at Sandringham for the festive break, The Queen and members of the Royal Family attended church.
The Queen, in a cream boucle coat and hat, was driven up to St Mary Magdalene’s church, whilst her family walked up.
ROYALS CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS AT CHURCH – QUEEN IN FESTIVE RED AND KATE IN SEASONAL GREEN
The Duke of Edinburgh was accompanied by Princess Anne. Prince Charles walked with son and daughter-in-law, William and Catherine, with Prince Harry not too far behind. The Duchess of Cambridge opted for a purple midi-skirt and jacket, with a black felt hat from Lock & Co.
The entire family attended a Sunday service at St Mary Magdalene’s church, after two on Christmas Day. This is the same church in which Princess Charlotte was christened.
Prince Edward and his family – Sophie, Lady Louise, and James – were also in attendance. Zara, sporting a bright red hat, and Mike Tindall were also spotted on the walk to church.
QUEEN’S CHRISTMAS SPEECH FOC– USES ON LIGHT OVERCOMING DARK AFTER TURBULENT 2015
Following the service, members of the Royal Family stopped to greet well-wishers who had waited in the drizzle to see them, and present them with flowers.
The Queen is a regular church-goer and is often photographed attending church whilst at Sandringham. This year’s Queen’s speech focussed on light overcoming darkness following a dark year of international, and local, crises.
