As The Queen is set to make her Platinum Jubilee this year, Sandringham joins the group of royal residences marking the occasion with a broad range of events.
Sandringham is the much-loved country retreat of The Queen and has been the private home to four generations of British Monarchs since 1862. It traditionally acts as the place the Monarch heads each Christmas.
The main attraction at the Norfolk residence is to be a special exhibition, ‘Her Majesty The Queen at Sandringham: An Exemplary Reign and a Unique Country House’, which will showcase Elizabeth’s love for the estate.
Key highlights of the exhibition will include objects and photographs relating to The Queen’s passions: animals, horses and the great outdoors.
There will also be a a special display focusing on the very first Christmas Day speech broadcast from 1957, which was recorded by The Queen at Sandringham House.
No royal milestone complete without memorabilia! A range of limited-edition commemorative items which will be unique to the Sandringham Estate Shop are set to be introduced soon, including a Sandringham Platinum Jubilee Pink Gin, a Platinum Jubilee Pale Ale, Sandringham celebratory own blend tea, and a preserve made from local Norfolk fruit.
The estate will also host several events over the extended June Bank Holiday Weekend, beginning on 2nd June with the traditional lighting of the Jubilee Beacon in the Royal Parkland. You might remember beacons were lit for the Diamond Jubilee, too.

A special logo has been chosen for the occasion, designed by a budding graphic design student, and can be seen on official information about the jubilee, now that 2022 has begun.
