The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released a video featuring their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, baking cupcakes for a Platinum Jubilee party this weekend.
The caption read: “Baking cakes for the local community in Cardiff to enjoy at a Platinum Jubilee street party taking place today! We hope you like them!”
The family visited Cardiff yesterday; more to come on that visit from The Crown Chronicles soon.
The children were seeing making their creations in a kitchen decorated with flag bunting.
In the pictures in the video, the three children stand over the cupcakes as Catherine holds frosting in a piping bag, and George, Charlotte, and Louis all grab sprinkles to decorate the cupcakes.
There’s a picture of Charlotte cracking an egg into a bowl.
Prince Louis can be seen sifting some icing sugar into a bowl… but seems to be creating a mess, as it’s all over his hands!
In the pictures, Princess Charlotte can be seen in different shirts from a pink polo to a navy and white striped shirt trimmed with colourful pompoms – perhaps someone had too much fun in the kitchen?
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have previously been open about their fondness for baking, with William revealing how the habit started during lockdown.
He noted how ‘the children have been attacking the kitchen and it’s just been an explosion of flour and chocolate everywhere. Catherine’s been doing quite a bit of baking.’
Catherine’s baking skills were put to the test alongside Mary Berry after the pair appeared on one the Great British Bake Off judge’s 2019 Christmas special.
This is not the first time royal fans have seen the children put their culinary skills to good use. The children were pictured delivering bags of fresh food and pasta, which the family had made, to vulnerable people in Norfolk who were shielding during the first COVID-19 lockdown.
Photos were additionally published to mark Charlotte’s fifth birthday in May 2020.
