TCC Talks… launch: The Gossips’ Choice | Our new video & podcast series!

We are proud to present our new video and podcast series, TCC Talks…! Featuring historians, authors and those with a passion for Royalty, we are expanding our content offering from plain online articles.

Our debut episode talks to Dr Sara read about her first novel, The Gossips’ Choice which follows a country midwife in 1665. It is ideal for those who enjoy the Restoration era, women’s history, medical history, or fans of ‘Call the Midwife’!

Sara talks us through some of the real historical sources she used to in the book, including original midwifery manuals from Sarah Stone and Jane Sharpe, the strange parallels with 1665 and 2020 (unbeknownst to her as she was writing) and even the difficulties of putting together your first fiction book!

This series will also run as a podcast! Go here to download, or simply search for “TCC Talks” on your Apple or Android podcast provider. Alternatively, you can listen below.

We really hope you enjoy this, and it is the first in a long series of videos planned for TCC. If you liked it, please let us know and subscribe to our YouTube channel!
