Pierre and Beatrice wed again in religious Italian ceremony

Once again, guests and Royals gathered to celebrate the marriage of Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo, this time for the religious ceremony. While the civil ceremony took place in Monaco last week, the couple chose the bride’s native home of Italy to say their vows before God.

For the big day, the bride chose a custom-made Armani gown, featuring a delicate lace overlay and three-quarter sleeves. The look was completed with a long cascading veil which was held by a low chignon and floral pins.

The religious ceremony, conducted by a priest, took place on the remote Isolino di San Giovanni, one of a group of islands owned by the Borromeo family, to which Beatrice is an heir.

Among the extensive guest list were the Norwegian Royals, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, along with the Princess’ son, Marius, and singer, Lana del Rey who was accompanying Italian boyfriend, Francesco Carrozini.

Following the ceremony, guests were transported to Rocca di Borromeo di Angera, a medieval fortress which overlooks Lake Maggiore. Mrs Casiraghi was pictured arriving by boat alongside husband, having changed into a simple Grecian style gown, which featured an empire waist and a long train cascading from the shoulders.

The wedding celebrations have been extensive as the couple hosted yet another event on Friday evening. A cocktail party was held at Rocca di Angera in Pallanza, Italy. This time Beatrice appeared in a Bohemian styled embroidered floor-length gown with flowers throughout her long, curled hair, totalling her number of wedding gowns at five.

It is expected that celebrations will continue throughout the weekend as the public have been banned from sailing within 500 metres of the venue until Monday.

Although Beatrice, Pierre and their guests were pictured arriving at the evening reception, little other information has been released as the couple have remained tight lipped about the finer details of their nuptials. It is also not known as to when or where the couple will be spending their honeymoon.
