As part of the Coronation weekend celebrations, a concert is being hosted at Windsor Castle.
With musical talent from around the world, it will be a celebration to mark the historic weekend – and members of the public have the chance to be there.
10,000 Brits will be in the crowd, winning their places in a ballot for a pair of free tickets to view the performances on the East Lawn of the castle.
These will include a world-class orchestra (Charles is a big classical music fan), as well as more contemporary music from famous faces. You can also expect spoken word performances, plus dancers and others from the world of the arts.
The event is expected to last up to three hours, packed with entertainment – but prepare for all weather eventualities, it is Britain after all!
Also attending as part of the crowd will be those affiliated with The King’s and Queen’s charities, as well as members of the military, those who support conservation and environmental work, and those who work to support their local communities both in the UK and the wider Commonwealth.
The details:
The ballot is online only and only one application per person is permitted. The application process will close at 11:59pm GMT on 28th February 2023.
Ticket allocations will be fairly spread across the UK, the Channel Isles, the Isle of Man and BFPO applications. They are strictly non-transferrable.
Applicants must be 18 or over.
How do I apply for tickets?
You can apply for tickets on the ballot site here, via Ticketmaster. It is important to note the ballot will be drawn at random, so there is still time to apply!
If your name is drawn in the ballot you will be notified by email by mid April.
But if you’re unsuccessful, you can watch the whole event on BBC One, and join in the celebration from home.
