The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee will be not only a weekend the Royal Family will not forget, but also people around the world, royal fans or no, who will look back with fond memories of a historic event.

We’ve selected out top 15 photographs from the historic occasion earlier this year, to reflect on the fun of the events!

This photograph of the Royal Family standing on the balcony of Buckingham Palace following Trooping the Colour obviously made it into our top choices.

Working Royals joined The Queen on the balcony after at Trooping the Colour on day one of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and The Princess Royal rode on horseback at Trooping the Colour, which took place on Thursday 2nd June.

The oldest Royal speaking to one of the youngest! The sweet moment The Queen and Prince Louis were pictured in conversation during the balcony appearance whilst waiting for the flypast from the RAF.

A hologram of The Queen was projected on the Gold State Coach during the Platinum Pageant, taking footage of the young Monarch from her coronation in 1953.

Members of the Royal Family gathered for a Service of Thanksgiving to mark The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Friday 3rd June. It was attended by senior figures from across the Commonwealth as well as foreign royalty!

We loved seeing The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George and Princess Charlotte in Cardiff on the third day of celebrations to mark the Platinum Jubilee. They met members of the public who were celebrating The Queen’s 70-year reign and took along cupcakes baked in their own kitchen.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex visited Northern Ireland to mark The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee the same day. The couple got competitive in a cook-off… and to keep things fair they were both crowned the winner!

The couple took part in a cooking competition. (Royal Family).

Prince Louis was the star of the show during Trooping the Colour and provided royal fans with so many funny facial expressions. Here’s one of our favourites.

The Party at the Palace concluded with a spectacular light show to the tens of thousands of people outside the palace and down the Mall. What a way to finish the weekend of celebrations.

The future King paid tribute to his mother on her impressive milestone – despite her absence – touchingly calling her ‘Mummy’, which got cheers from the crowds.

After misbehaving for The Duchess of Cambridge, it was time for Prince Charles to carry out his duties as grandfather and look after – or more likely distract! – his youngest grandchild.
