The Queen’s Jewellery: daffodil brooch

Featuring the national emblem of Wales, this gold and silver brooch was only first noticed when it was painted!

Three daffodil flowers set in diamond leaves, the portrait it was depicted in was for the Welsh Rugby Union in honour of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Since it only appeared in 2012, it is a safe bet that it was a Jubilee gift.

On a State Visit to Germany this year, we got a good look at a few rarely seen brooches, including this one.
