Royal diary: upcoming engagements 29th Jan – 4th February

29th January:

– The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will fly to Stockholm ahead of their visit.

30th January:

– The Prince of Wales, patron of the Global Crop Diversity Trust, will host a reception on the theme of ‘Food Forever – Actions for a Resilient Food System’ at Clarence House.

– The Duchess of Cornwall will visit Arkell’s Brewery during their 175th anniversary year, Kingdown, Stratton, Swindon, as well as Marlborough St. Mary’s Church of England Primary School.

– The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge begin their tour of Sweden with a stop at Vasaparken, an outdoor ice-skating venue in the centre of Stockholm. They will then lunch with King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel, before heading to the Nobel Museum, and Ark Des, Sweden’s national centre for architecture and design. Lastly William and Catherine will have dinner at the British Ambassador’s residence.

– The Earl and Countess of Wessex will visit Sri Lanka on behalf of The Queen to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of Independence. The visit will last

– The Princess Royal, patron of Save the Children UK, will attend the International Financing Review Awards Dinner at The Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

31st January:

– The Prince of Wales, patron of The Royal Television Society, and The Duchess of Cornwall, will visit ITV studios and attend a reception to celebrate the Royal Television Society’s 90th Anniversary at London Television Centre, Lambeth, London. Prince Charles will later join a meeting of key plastics stakeholders and business leaders to discuss the role of plastics in the economy at the British Academy, London.

– The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are to visit the Karolinska Institute, Matteusskolan (a primary school), and an NK department store, to open an exhibition on UK brands that have a presence in Sweden. Haga Palace follows next for tea with Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel. Fotografiska Galleries will host the royal couple for a celebration of culture.

– The Duke of York, founder of Pitch@Palace, will host Pitch@Palace 9.0 On Tour London, at Barclays RISE.

– The Princess Royal, Royal Patron of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, will launch the Norfolk Motor Neurone Disease Care and Research Network, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Princess Anne will also attend a reception to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Hunstanton Branch at Hunstanton Golf Club, Norfolk as the charity’s patron, and also attend a Dinner at One Great George Street as an Honorary Member of the Smeatonian Society of Civil Engineers.

1st February:

– The Duchess of Cornwall will visit The Royal Academy of Dance’s Silver Swans programme promoting ballet classes for over 55s, in Battersea Square, London.

– The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will travel to Oslo for their second visit. They will go to the Royal Palace for lunch with King Harald and Queen Sonja; this is also where they will stay. They will view the Princess Ingrid Alexandra Sculpture Park on the Palace grounds, before going to MESH with Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit; it is the largest co-working space in the area. A formal dinner will be hosted back at the palace.

– Prince Harry will attend the annual Endeavour Fund Awards at Goldsmiths’ Hall.

– The Princess Royal will open the Kurtsystems horse training technology, Kingwood Stud, Lambourn, Berkshire.

2nd February:

– The Queen, Honorary Air Commodore, will visit RAF Marham.

– The Prince of Wales, patron of The Canal & River Trust, will officially open the first phase of the restored Stroud canal and meet volunteers from the Cotswold Canals project, Bell House, Wallbridge, Stroud. Prince Charles will also visit Timberpride, as president of The Prince’s Trust, in Tetbury.

– The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit Hartvig Nissen School, followed by lunch as Haakon and Mette-Marit’s home, Skagum. Oslo’s Holmenkollen Ski Jump will receive royal guests, before the couple watch young children in a ski class.

– The Duke of York, founder o, Pitch@Palace, will host Pitch@Palace 9.0 On Tour Cheltenham, at Cheltenham Race Course.

– The Duke of Gloucester, president of the Crown Agents Foundation, will attend a panel discussion and reception at the Blue Fin Building, London.

3rd February:

– The Princess Royal, patron of Scottish Rugby Union, will attend the International Rugby Match between Scotland and Wales at the Principality Stadium, Cardiff.

4th February:

– The Princess Royal, member of the International Olympic Committee and Chair, International Olympic Committee Members Election Commission, will visit the Republic of Korea for the Winter Olympics.
