Prince William in emotional #onemoreminute campaign for Child Bereavement

In an emotional new fundraising campaign video for Child Bereavement UK, Prince William is asking the public to donate to the organisation, which supports bereaved families.

The Duke of Cambridge appears in a series of videos for his patronage, alongside those who have lost loved ones – both well-known and not. They tell the camera what they would say to their loved one if they had just one extra minute with them.

“The death of a parent or child is one of the most painful experiences anyone can endure,” William says, looking casual in a pale blue shirt. “Child Bereavement UK is a charity very close to my heart.

“It provides a lifeline to bereaved families, helping them to talk about their grief and find a way to live with it.”

Of course, as a teenager, the Prince lost his mother, Diana. His brother, Harry, was still dealing with the grief just a few years ago, when he finally sought professional help.

He has been a patron of the organisation for eight years.

“Without someone to talk to, grief can fee lonely and unbearable,” the Duke says in one video. “Please, take one more minute to support Child Bereavement UK, and help to rebuild the lives of bereaved families.”

Mary Berry, Rio Ferdinand, Ben and Marina Fogle, Joey Essex, Jason Watkins, who have lost partners, children and parents, give their version of #onemoreminute.

TV culinary personality Berry said she would thank William ‘for being a brilliant son’, while ex-footballer Rio Ferdinand wanted to ask his late wife about raising their children. Ben and Marina Fogle teared up as they ‘didn’t have that first minute’, as their son was stillborn, but with that extra minute, they would tell him they loved him.

You can support the charity’s campaign with a donation here or join in the story by using #onemoreminute on Twitter.

The videos are sure to leave you emotional by the end. Watch them and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
