The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have thanked the public for a ‘fantastic’ weekend celebrating The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, saying they and their family had an incredible time.
The couple also released some new images from across the weekend, including the couple at a street party in Kensington to mark the occasion.
The couple wrote a message on their social media channels, saying: “What a fantastic weekend of celebrations. Seeing people across the nation coming together with family, friends, and loved ones has been extremely special.”
‘Thank you to everyone who turned out to show their gratitude to The Queen and inspiring 70 years of leadership. From the crowds on the Mall to communities hosting street parties up and down the country, we hope you had a weekend to remember.’
The couple poked fun at the humorous moments their youngest son provided the nation noting, ‘We all had an incredible time, especially Louis…’
He kept crowds entertained all weekend with a series of interesting expressions, such as covering his face with his hands at the pageant and waving to onlookers during the Red Arrows flypast.
The message was signed ‘W & C’, indicating the message came directly from them.
The Platinum Jubilee weekend saw the Cambridge family make an appearance on the balcony following Trooping the Colour, visit Wales to see how communities were marking the Platinum Jubilee, attend the Party at the Palace and attend a Pageant.
