Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank have announced the arrival of their second child together – a baby boy. The couple announced they were expecting another child in January.
They have named him Ernest.
The official statement read as follows:
‘Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their son, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank. Ernest was born on Tuesday 30th May and weighed 7lbs 1oz.
The new arrival is The Duke and Duchess of York’s third grandchild.’
In an Instagram post, Eugenie noted he is named after his three-time great-grandfather, George VI, his grandfather George and his other grandfather, Ronald.
She added ‘Augie [their eldest son] is loving being a big brother already’.
The couple recently attended events over the Coronation weekend including the Coronation service at Westminster Abbey, the Coronation Concert and Eugenie attended a Coronation street party with her sister, Beatrice.
Eugenie and Jack met whilst skiing, and married at St George’s Chapel in October 2018 following a Nicaraguan engagement. The couple welcomed their first child, August, in 2021.
