It has been announced that Zara and Mike Tindall are expecting their second child.
The arrival is due around late spring of 2017, and will be The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh’s sixth great-grandchild and Princess Anne’s fourth grandchild.
The equestrienne and ex-rugby player are already parents to Mia Grace Tindall, who will turn three in January. Mia was born at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital – an NHS facility – near the family home on Gatcombe Park, Princess Anne’s estate.
“The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh and members of the Royal Family are delighted with the news,” a spokesman said about Zara’s pregnancy.
Zara missed out on a place in the British eventing team in Rio this year, and it is assumed she is just past the three-month mark in the pregnancy, to make the announcement.
Mia featured in the Annie Liebowitz portrait with The Queen earlier this year, holding her great-grandmother’s handbag, standing amongst her cousins.
